DIWALI: INCHAM HOSTS THE BIGGEST FESTIVAL FOR INDIAN IN VIETNAM
The biggest festival in a year for Indian community in Vietnam-DIWALI GALA 2018 will be host by Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM) at GEM Center in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday 03rd November 2018
Diwali or Deepavali, also known as “The Festival of Lights” is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated every year. Diwali is one of the most sacred festivals for Hindus and is widely celebrated across the country. Besides India, Diwali is also widely celebrated in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nepal, Malaysia, Mauritius and other countries with Hindu population.
The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness or good over evil. With this awakening comes compassion and the awareness of the oneness of all things. There is also the metaphorical significance of knowledge overcoming ignorance.
The preparations for Diwali start weeks before the festival date, and the rituals typically extend over a five-day period. The main festival night of Diwali coincides with the darkest, new moon night of the Hindu calendar month Kartika. In the Gregorian calendar, Diwali night falls between mid-October and mid-November.
This year’s attraction is Bollywood playback singer Shabab Sabri and his band to rock the evening. Shabab Sabri, the winner of Aap Ki Awaz Media Excellence Award 2014. Shabab Sabri is a versatile artist and has sung for Bollywood superstars in more than 100 Bollywood songs. On this occasion, INCHAM will also donate part of the proceeds to charity.
The event is expected to receive the presence of one thousand plus guests (expats and Vietnamese), officials from government departments, foreign missions and an association of reputed corporate and business houses in Ho Chi Minh City.
