Michelin series - Born in Hue, Vietnam, his early years were marked by upheaval as his family moved to France when he was just six years old. The cultural shift was profound, but his family found stability through hard work, with his father transitioning from being a school principal in Hue to working at a family friend's Chinese restaurant in France.
Chef An grew up in a household that retained its Vietnamese roots while adapting to life in France. By the age of 13, his culinary education began as he helped prepare Cantonese dishes at the restaurant. This early exposure to diverse flavors would lay the foundation for his unique culinary style.
At 17, he enrolled at the prestigious Auguste Escoffier culinary school, where his blend of influences—Vietnamese, Chinese, and French—made him stand out. His willingness to challenge tradition earned him the admiration of his instructors.
Upon graduation, Chef An embarked on a global culinary journey, refining his craft at luxury resorts from New Caledonia to St. Maarten. In 2008, he returned to Vietnam, where he captivated diners with his creations at high-end resort restaurants. A decade later, driven by his desire for creative freedom, he established The Temptation in Da Nang, a restaurant that embodies his life's culinary journey.
