Despite being backed by a partisan crowd and dominating possession, Vietnam found Indonesia to be stubborn opponents.

The two-time champions, however, only found the breakthrough in the 77th minute, courtesy of Nguyen Quang Hai.

The win took Vietnam to six points from two matches while Indonesia remained on four, albeit having played a game more.


Laos and Philippines were left seeking their first win after settling for a 1-1 stalemate.

It was a result neither wanted in their bid to make the semi-finals, with the draw moving both up to two points with Laos having played three matches and Philippines two.

Michael Baldisimo's own goal put Laos ahead in the 34th minute but Sandro Reyes salvaged Philippines a point with his 77th minute equaliser.

Laos next face Myanmar on Wednesday while Philippines meet Vietnam.
